		2008 CIDECT President's Award for Research Comité International pour le Développement et l'Etude de la Construction Tubulaire Cast Connex Corporation CEO Carlos de Oliveira was awarded the CIDECT President's Award for his work in developing standardized cast steel connectors that simplify the design and fabrication of seismic-resistant connections for steel hollow section bracing.
