Position: Technical Sales Specialist
Compensation: Competitive base salary with commission and full benefits package
Location: Based in Chicago. Approximately 25% travel expected within United States and Canada.
Start Date: 1st Quarter 2020

Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering, Architecture, or other technical field relevant to the AEC industry.
Minimum 5 years professional experience in engineering, architecture, construction, or related field.

For the position of Technical Sales Specialist, CAST CONNEX is seeking an exceptional candidate with proven outstanding technical capabilities; proven talent in verbal, visual, and written communication; an appreciation for optimization of performance and elegance in structure and architecture.
Candidate will have experience in presentations and/or teaching. Ideal candidate will have experience in presentations and/or teaching in engineering, science, or architecture.
The successful candidate will be flexible while organized, humble while confident, patient while motivated, and have a good sense of humor while…well, having a good sense of humor.
Your Role:
You will be our leg in the Mid-West, joining our US-based team.
You will be a maker-doer; both part of the development as well as the supply of steel castings.
You will collaborate with designers in early stages of projects and see them through to completion of construction documents.
You will support the construction team from tender to completion of construction.
You will have great responsibility and great respect as a valued member of our team.
Strong Pluses:
Advanced Degree in engineering, architecture, or similar
Professional Engineer Licensure and/or other relevant certification
Active member of Professional organizations within the AEC industry
Proven abilities in self-starting and self-management
Dexterity with US Building codes including: AISC 360, AISC 342, ASCE 7, AWS, IBC, AASHTO
Competency with 2D and 3D CAD and FEA platforms
Experience in steel fabrication and/or foundry work
