This May, CAST CONNEX proudly marks 18 years of innovation, collaboration, and contribution to the built environment. What began as a bold idea by our founders—to revolutionize steel construction through the intelligent application of structural cast steel components—has grown into a global company trusted by designers, engineers, and builders across the AEC industry.

The Queen Richmond Center West in downtown Toronto was one of our first projects - the largest at the time - and has since become a Landmark project for CAST CONNEX.

At the heart of CAST CONNEX lies a simple yet powerful mission: to simplify the design and enhance the performance of structures by enabling Architects and Engineers to use cast steel connections. The realization of this mission has shaped our product development, guided our collaborations, and helped us deliver exceptional solutions to some of the most ambitious and architecturally daring projects in the world.

In these 18 years, tens of thousands of CAST CONNEX products have been used in hundreds of projects across the globe. From seismic-resistant structures to iconic landmarks featuring architecturally exposed structural steel, our castings have helped enhance safety, streamline constructability, and enable extraordinary architectural expression.

CAST CONNEX designed, supplied, and engineered custom steel castings for a universal joint in the egress stairs at The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The device accommodates significant differential movement between the base-isolated theater structure and the terra firma in the event of an earthquake.

We provided a variety of cast steel nodes and connectors for use in the construction of the Sphere, Las Vegas. The venue's exosphere features 368 custom nodes and over 9,000 standardized Diablo Bolted Splice (DBS) connections supporting the world's largest and most high-definition exterior LED screen.

Our journey would not be possible without the support and trust of the architects, engineers, and construction professionals who have worked with us over the years. We are truly honored to have been a part of your work, whether a small community structure or a globally celebrated project.

CAST CONNEX custom cast steel nodes were commissioned for NASA’s Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) as they helped to minimize ML2’s weight, enhanced modular fabrication and assembly, and facilitated field-bolted construction.

We are equally grateful to our team—past and present—for their passion, innovation, and commitment to excellence, which have made these 18 years possible.

As we reflect on how far we’ve come, we are more excited than ever for the future. We look forward to deepening our partnerships and creating new ones, continuing to share in your remarkable projects for years to come.

Here’s to the next chapter.
