Baystate Noble Hospital Entry Renovation

Model shadow Change me

A new drive-under canopy constructed using CAST CONNEX® Universal Pin Connectors™ and custom designed cast steel nodes was part of an entrance and lobby renovation of the Baystate Noble Hospital in Westfield, Massachusetts completed in the summer of 2018.

The custom nodes in the canopy columns transition from a 12.75-inch (324 mm) diameter lower trunk to two 8.625-inch (219 mm) diameter upper branches splayed 32-degrees apart.  The far ends of the round hollow sections welded to the topside of the custom cast node are fitted with UPC-8.625 (UPC-219) connectors. The graceful canopy support columns evoke the appearance of a wishbone.
