We are thrilled to celebrate the successful modular assembly of the Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) at Kennedy Space Center, a critical structure for the Artemis IV mission and future lunar and Mars exploration. NASA’s Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) has officially reached its full height, standing over 350 feet tall, following the successful “Rig and Set” of Module 10 in July 2025. This final module capped off a rapid six-month vertical expansion and completed the tower that will support future Artemis missions to the Moon and Mars.
CAST CONNEX is proud to have played a pivotal role in this achievement by providing custom cast steel nodes that were essential to the modular construction of ML2. These components helped reduce the overall weight of the structure, eliminated complex T-Y-K welding, and dramatically improved fabrication and assembly tolerances, facilitating seamless field-bolted construction on site.
This milestone is a testament to the collaborative excellence of the project team, with special appreciation to Bechtel Corporation and Paxton & Vierling Steel Co for including us in this monumental endeavor. CAST CONNEX is honored to contribute to this historic project and remains committed to delivering high-performance structural solutions that support the future of aerospace engineering.
