CAST CONNEX custom-cast steel tree nodes play a key role in an impressive podium that sits between twin 33-story towers. These elegant tree-shaped structures span over metro tunnels, enabling commercial spaces and a food court while meeting complex engineering challenges.

The nearly $500M real estate development project transforms the area into a vibrant transit-oriented development (TOD). Anchored by two striking 33-storey towers on either side of the Longueuil–Université-de-Sherbrooke metro terminal tunnel, the project will serve as a key hub of activity for residents, visitors, and metro users alike.

The podium design, in particular, addresses a critical challenge: spanning the metro terminal's tunnels and platforms while ensuring uninterrupted access for STM (Société de transport de Montréal) users. The podium also serves as a bustling commercial space, housing various retail outlets and a food court that integrates seamlessly into the architectural design.
