The new Royal Botanical Gardens Rock Garden Visitor Centre, designed to hold up to 150 patrons for weddings and other special occasions, features a glue laminated timber roof system inspired by the natural form of a leaf. The timber roof is supported on architecturally exposed hollow structural section (HSS) columns fitted with CAST CONNEX® Universal Pin Connectors™ + Architectural Tapers™. The connectors cause the columns to have a slenderer appearance.
