To embrace a modern design and increase space functionality, the Complexe Val d'Espoir Expansion design team specified CAST CONNEX® Universal Pin Connectors™ (UPC). The standardized fittings are featured prominently at the ends of architecturally exposed structural steel (AESS) V-shaped braces throughout the new arena. The UPC creates a sleek brace connection that allows tubular structural elements to remain exposed. Showcasing structural steel’s grace and strength, all while harmonizing seamlessly with the broader architectural vision of the project, the UPC is an integral element fusing the functionality and artistry that defines this remarkable project.
