Universal Pin Connectors key to simplified connections in highly complex space frame

Nearly 1,000 CAST CONNEX® Universal Pin Connectors™ are used at the web member-end connections of the space frame which makes up the climbing tower in the University of Alberta’s new Physical Activity and Wellness (PAW) Centre. Although only some of the connectors are architecturally exposed in the finished construction, Universal Pin Connectors were used throughout the structure given the economies they provide in comparison to conventionally fabricated pin connections.
