Wheaton Library and Recreation Center, located in Silver Spring, Maryland, is a bright and welcoming multi-purpose facility offering an assortment of programs and activities for community members of all ages.

The result of a civic improvement project, the new Wheaton Library and Recreation Center is a magnificent building that boasts a bookstore, gymnasium, and a second-floor indoor walking track. Further site improvements include a parking garage and open green spaces to accommodate youth activities.

One of the project's most distinguishable exterior features is its large multi-level awnings, which add artistic significance while working to shield direct sunlight. Each canopy is supported with Cast CAST CONNEX® Architectural Tapers + Universal Pin ConnectorsTM (ART + UPC) in varying sizes, lending an elegant shape to round HSS columns and contributing to the distinctive look of the building.

Wheaton Library and Recreation Center is a brilliant example of a high-performing structure that meets the needs of its occupants at every stage.
